My vampire love affair started over thirty years ago when I first read “Interview with a Vampire” as well as other books by Anne Rice. I was excited when IWAV was brought to the screen but not thrilled with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt as Lestat and Louis. The versions in my minds eye were much sexier and eloquent and they both seem just too modern in their acting and not very believable to me. I do applaud Kirsten Dunst as Claudia, she was perfect for the character, :o)!
If your first exposure to vampires are the bunch from The Sookie Stackhoue series or True Blood then you are sure to be in for a treat if you read any of the Anne Rice vampire stories, they are the books that started all the modern vampire love affairs.
